Steve Brown began designing and fabricating custom furniture as a cabinetmaker in 1976.  He graduated with a degree in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University (cum laude) and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania (cum laude).  Steven Brown Architects was formed in 1985.   Design Build LLC was formed to provide projects with both Architecture and Construction services.  As architects with extensive involvement and experience in the construction, integrating design and construction was a natural step and a benefit to clients. 

Since 1990 the firm has provided both architectural design and construction services for about ninety percent of its projects.    While the average size of its projects has increased over the years, the firm is a personal attention oriented firm.  Principal level attention is given to every project.  Internet partnering with consultants located around country has given increased abilities and range but our personality and goal remains the same.

In projects large and small, the love of the craft of building is still what invigorates the work of Design Build LLC.
